  • Neal Marshall Black Cultural Center 275 North Jordan Avenue Bloomington, IN, 47405 United States (map)

Curated and organized by Daixuan Ai, sponsored by Indiana University Asian Cultural Center and Jacobs Office of Entrepreneurship and Career Development, this is a concert and discussion to remember the January 2023 bus attack of an IU Asian student and to reflect on its impact to the Bloomington community.  This event will feature performance of Daixuan’s sinfonietta Silent Theater, poetry reading, and digital visual art created by IU student artists in response to the attack and racial hate.  After the artists' performances, there will be a special brief talk and discussion about ways to heal and move forward which will be led by guest speaker, Helen Zia, author of Asian American Dreams and cofounder of the Vincent Chin Institute.  RSVP through LiveWhale here.
